Scuffed.Live has no accounts and no sign-up, and the site itself sets no cookies. It does record anonymous usage data, described in full below.
Your channel list, your open streams and your layout are stored in your own browser using local storage. They are never uploaded, and clearing your browser data removes them permanently. A single flag is also stored to note that you have visited before, so visits can be counted as new or returning without identifying you.
Visits are counted with an anonymous daily tag. It is a scrambled value worked out from your connection and browser, it cannot be turned back into either, and it is replaced with a new one every day. That is enough to count how many different people visited, and not enough to recognise anyone or follow them from one day to the next.
Twitch streams are played through Twitch's own embedded player. Kick streams are played by the site's own player straight from Kick's video servers, or through Kick's embedded player when that does not work. When a stream loads, those companies receive your IP address and their embedded players may set their own cookies, governed by their privacy policies rather than this one. Kick clips play from Kick's servers in the same way, and the video player library is loaded from the jsDelivr CDN. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes requests and stores the usage data described above.
The chat column reads each stream's chat straight from Kick and Twitch in your browser, without signing in; they see your IP address as they would when you open their chat. Chat messages are shown and never sent to or kept by this site. Typing happens in Kick's and Twitch's own chat windows, under their policies.
There is no advertising, no cross-site tracking, and no data is sold or shared for marketing.
The figures Scuffed.Live measures itself are free to reuse under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0), as long as you credit Scuffed.Live, ideally with a link to the page you took them from. That covers Kick against Twitch and the streamers on both platforms, the weekly recaps, and the broadcast patterns and records on streamer and category pages. These are aggregate audience counts, never anything about the people visiting this site.
It does not cover what comes from Kick, Twitch, Steam or the streamers themselves: live status, stream titles, thumbnails, clips, chat and channel descriptions belong to them and stay under their terms.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same location and the effective date will be updated.
